the answer is an EMPHATIC NO!! It sounds like you don't want Obama to tell you what to do, but you do want to tell me that I can't end my life as I see fit. Isn't that inconsistent? That's one of the reasons I have so little respect for "progressives". They become indignant at the idea of pro-lifers imposing their values on them, yet have no problem imposing theirs on others. Which is why I've been a libertarian for most of my life (though I do reluctantly support basic civil rights legislation and oppose abortion).
