If Buffett actually decides that the federal government deserves his donations more than the Gates Foundation, for example, people will follow along and vote for tax increases. The truth is that Buffett knows how to spend his own money better than the federal government. And he decided that his wealth would better invested toward the Gates Foundation than the Obama administration. But hey, he can sure write an op-ed for his friend Obama.
