Naked Short Selling, Naked CDS.. they all have the same affect of distorting market forces and destroying the asset values.

And assets are the collateral that support the foundation of the modern financial system. No bank wants to extend significant credit against deflating collateral.

Destroy asset values and you destroy the financial system. Simple as that.
