The family did well. Like I said before - "me" is not part of this equation. It was a privilege and blessing to be able to send dad off that way. Most people don't get that chance - they get the dreaded late night call.

Now the focus becomes mom - it's the next step and, if given the opportunity, she'll get the very same closure when her day comes. Loss is loss but this was gratifying <-- I know that sounds odd but it's the right choice of words
