Do we invade Iran to preclude their development of nukes? Is that what you advocate? A bigger boondogle than Iraq and Afghanistan combined.

Are you 100% sure that airstrikes will hit everything that needs to be hit considering that the Iranians have undoubtedly considered their vulnerabilities to airstrikes?

I think it makes sense to rely on our massive nuclear arsenal to deter Iran.

The Israelis could wipe it off the map. They also serve a useful deterrence function.

It would of course be a better world without Iranian nukes but unless bat-shit crazy options are used to prevent the Iranians from getting them (cyber attacks excluded), deterrence is all we have.

It worked marvelously for years with the Soviets and the Chinese. Why should the Iranians be any different?
