HP Near Spinoff Of PC Business, $10B Autonomy Takeover -Bloomberg    Last Update: 8/18/2011 12:35:34 PM    DOW JONES NEWSWIRES    Hewlett-Packard Co. (HPQ) plans to announce that it will spin off its  personal-computer business as well as the acquisition of software company  Autonomy Corp. (AU.LN) for $10 billion, Bloomberg News reported Thursday, citing  people familiar with the plans.    HP, the world's biggest computer maker, could announce the plans as early as  Thursday. The company is scheduled to report quarterly earnings after U.S. stock  markets close on Thursday.
