This does really get my dander up. My wife is a teacher in a low income school. First of all, they are not allowed to ask for documentation....proof of citizenship, etc. You would not believe the free services, clothes, food (free breakfast and lunch), after school daycare, health screening, dental and vision care, etc that the school district and state provides. I'm all for helping the down and out on a temp basis, but they need to be part of the system...as in part of the tax system so they can pay their share when they work.
