Agreed. Someone once opined that Obama's problem was lack of Senate experience... that he had insufficient time to master the nuances of the horse trading that is a modern legislature. The result was that he got pushed around and cornered whereas a skilled legislator turned President would have harnessed to power of the presidency to great advantage... such as LBJ did with Medicare and civil rights. He has disappointed us, we need to push him harder but not that hard that he tips over and has to leave the WH.
