This strike stuff is just posturing. Ultimately nothing will come of it so there's no need for the nuclear solution. I can't vouch for the guys on the east coast (old Bell Atlantic) but most of the landline union guys I worked around (for 30 years on the management side) are wonderful, dedicated, hard working individuals who happen to belong to a union and must obey. I'm sure everyone of them knows they're tugging on Superman's cape. I am truly sorry to say their days are numbered.
