<<And let me add...........if the leftie mafia wants to win more elections, it better pay more attention to what many Americans want.>>

Americans often want the wrong ideas e.g. stupidly low taxes and raging against government when corporations are the real problem.

That's not what a majority of Americans are saying..........but your attitude is part of the reason why liberals do not fare well in this country. And frankly, it can be rather annoying even for other liberals. For an example, Wharf is absolutely convinced to we are at peak oil even as the evidence doesn't support his argument all that well. Is he open to any other possibilities? Of course not.....he's smart and he knows best.

So what do we liberals do? Just go along with crazy talk?

Of course not but assuming what's best for people because you think you know better is definitely the wrong way to approach the matter. And that's the complaint most cited by people who don't find liberalism attractive. That attitude is very much in display when evaluating Obama's performance. I would cut more slack for Bush than you all cut for Obama.......and I hated Bush even before he became president. This sense of superiority is not productive. I take on that air to irritate the wingers on FAMD but I am not trying to get anything from them. Thinking you know what's best for other people typically tends to alienate.
