In the early US, counterfeiting was punishable by death.

Counterfeiting damages the existing currency by adding to the over all money supply diluting the purchasing power of individual units.

Devaluing the currency by printing excess amounts to rescue the systemically important gamblers at the expense of retirees and savers (those idiots) can be viewed as same.

That makes the Fed a gang of white collar criminals, aiding and abetting those putting the money supply at risk by their personal bonus enhancing behavior. In doing so they put everyone at risk.

Body parts might not be so salvageable after pitchforks.
