Compaq executives demonstrated the company's PC Theater product I always like to bounce new ideas off my own personal BS filter and this is one that fails. The idea that I need a PC connected with my TV is one that is lost on me. I go to the TV to relax. Not to do research. Not to connect to the Internet. Not to chat with others. Not to play games. Not to be faced with a myriad of viewing options. It's entertainment pure and simple. Why do I want a PC there? It's worth nothing to me. These guys who want to merge television with the computer are wasting their time. Just MHO.
