Ali - Re: "Questioned about the supposed delivery shortages, Jochen Polster, General Manager of AMD in Germany, said that there have been no shortages with the OEMs (like Vobis). Only smaller customers had to wait for chips in the beginning. Meanwhile the production has been ramped up far enough, so AMD can deliver without any delays. The yield is supposedly also very good with the K6 processors. Almost all K6 chips from the current production are suitable for 200**MHz. The 233-MHz building blocks are not as sensitive regarding the power supply as the first series. Therefore AMD wants begin producing 266-MHz K6 chips for selected OEMs shortly. Initially these building blocks will not be available on the open market, however. "

Well, if yields ARE GOOD and AMD can't ship more than 1 or 1.5 million chips last quarter and this quarter, that would indicate that they don't have enough orders for their K6 chip.

You would reach the same conclusion, would you not?
