lorne, You stress the strict interpretation of our First Amendment of the US Constitution which states, Congress shall make no law respecting and establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Which part of our constitution would we change since we have all religions in our country. That is one reason I have always been against vouchers for the public schools - I do not want my grandkids to become subject to the Islamic faith or indoctrination of any religious teaching. I do not want my taxpayer money going to any religious schools. Taxes (vouchers) going to one religion school means under our constitution that another religious institution must be granted the same rights. Religion teaching belongs in the home and the church. However, respect for others should be taught.

Our country is a sovereign nation with our constitution. Are we going to try and force our constitution on their sovereign country?
