The commerce clause greatly expanded the jurisdiction of the Federal Government.

That is an absurd statement. It was wayward court decisions that wrongly interpreted the commerce clause. When you have liberal justices with answers looking for a question, that is how you get this abuse of the Constitution. The purpose of the commerce clause was to "make regular" trade between the states, period. It wasn't to open a Pandora's box of unstoppable Federal power.

What you are saying is that a single clause within the Constitution cancels out the rest of the Constitution which on the whole has the specific purpose of limiting Federal power. It's as if the clause could lift itself up off the page and walk all over the rest of it. You'd make a great judge on the 9th Circuit.
