I'm sure that if you take out causal factors that impair US mortality rates, the "net" rates will improve. Sort of like taking out food and gasoline from the inflation index because these variables are "volatile". I never took "new math" in school, so I don't understand adjusted rates. I just look at the real numbers.

I believe that opposition to a single payer health care system in the US is a political position based on ideology and has little to do with economics. No point in further discussion, In your heart you know you are right - really, really right. Just don't lose your job with group benefits. When that happens, you will suddenly see things differently.
