That's an outrageous exaggeration. The system is very good at screening the applicants and the popular notion the everyone is living high off the hog with the government is a complete fiction.

Which part is the exaggeration? the millions of able bodied people who could work but choose to collect their government "paycheck"? or the high on the hog part?

I'll agree that the number living high on the hog is limited, but the number of able bodied people who choose to game the system is not exaggerated. These progressive programs create a class of people who pass on the behavior to their kids, who then pass it on to their kids.
