I inherited some gold coins that were bought at the peak of the last bubble in the late 1970's. Hanging on to them let me "ride the bubble" in a tiny way but also reminded me about the madness of crowds when these bubbles take hold. More than 30 years later, those coins have not returned to their inflation-adjusted purchase price.
