ROCKMAN on August 26, 2011 - 11:03am gone through many hurricanes an additional bit of advice: keep a good supply of toilet paper. Sittting in the dark or eating a can of cold beans is one thing. But not being able to....well, you get the idea. And if you've never "pottied in the wild" before a hint: pull the back of your shirt up. Many geologists learned that leason the hard way.

Toilets can be flushed when necessary with buckets of water, which you can either store in your bathtub, or catch in buckets placed under downspouts once the wind dies down enuf.
If you are on a septic tank, and it's 3 feet under water, ask somebody else what to do.

I won't go looking for the posts, but there is a worry among Drummers abut fuel shortages; first, from everybody filling up at the same time, and then after, from possible damage to refineries, pipelines, power outages, and impassable roads.
