the economic impact of all of the regulations it is seeking to implement that would have an economic impact of more than $1 billion.
"Is" seeking to implement?? What about the reams of stifling regs that are already in place and choking the life out of our economy?? There's so little room for entrepreneurship and innovation today. When mountains of rules and regulations are waded through in order to get a permit to do business, permits that shouldn't be needed in the first place (and will probably be denied anyway), then our country is doomed to inevitable and accelerating decline.
Today it's guitars. Yesterday, it's lightbulbs. Day before it's shower heads and toilets that don't flush. And little kids lemonade stands. And Boeing told where it can and cannot build planes. And oil rigs (and thousands of good jobs) leaving the Gulf. And "endangered" bugs and lizards putting needed energy sources off limits. The list goes on and on..
"Freedom's just another word" for what we used to have in this country. And it is what should be on the endangered list. The politicians, greenies, czars, bureaucrats and regulators are killing our economy, our prosperity, our future. And if we, the citizens, don't demand a radical change of direction and throw the SOB's out, then the consequences won't be pretty...
Edit: If these morons in Washington really want an economic stimulus that works, then, to paraphrase John Galt, they should just "get the hell out of the way".. |
