I am glad you mentioned governor Christie. As I type this he is having a press conference announcing plans for evacuation and the availability of shelters.
Contrast that with governor Blanko and Katrina.

Your above statement is very true. That is what Kenneth and I have been trying to explain to the "far" right conservatives. In Missouri we had/have Joplin with its destruction and the Missouri does not have the resources to help them out. Then, you have some of the "far" right saying we have to make cuts somewhere else. The question is where: military, social security, medicare, medicaid, individuals laid off from work (unemployment comp.), corrections, etc.
