I wish I would have ask the fraud investigator about your question. He was not a broker. Just and illegal alien who cut grass for a living. He got an inflated appraisal and based his loan on it. I suspect he closed for $800K and countrywide gave that amount to the seller. The seller may have given him the $200k difference. I don't know at what stage in the process he was arrested.
