>>I believe Kat, a recent contributor to this thread, was the gal that shorted MU around
30 bucks and saw it climb to 60. But she stuck to her guns and is likely OK now - but
what a ride! With puts she would have been dead meat, which she likely felt like a few
times on that trip. In any event, I would just as soon not play poker with her. -g-<<

not true. i'm the bozo that bet on reality and lost while mu went to $60. my first put purchase was at $33 or so. i lost for 9 months and did an effective job minimizing losses on the wild ride up.

i lost 70% on the way up. now my account is net positive by about 15%. i stopped buying puts above $45 (BIG MISTAKE TO BREAK MY SYSTEM!) and missed the first 27 points of downfall. i loaded up on puts after the bounce to $38.50 and made a quad. bought dec 25s when mu was $29 and they are a double right now.

owever, i did buy too many puts too soon. i shoulda had 70% of my account when mu hit $60 and i'd be close to retirement right now.

if i went short i'd be bankrupt :-(
