another peculiar thing about the company my friend helps to run, they turned down a request by the hong kong office dealing with harvard case studies writing, to do a case study on them

specifically on company value and on the compensation system in context of how the company governs itself at the board level and instills its values

- when top managers sign on, the are loaned money should they wish, and allowed to buy company shares valued at nav

- the pool is 10% of the outstanding shares (10% to management, 50% to charity trust, 40% in owner's hand)

- the 10% get's distribution just as the 50% does

- the 40% gets no distribution and funds kept in company for biz development n operations

- as and when the said manager leaves the company, his shares are bought back from him at nav, less the loan

the gate & buffett crowd, yapping, were run out of town for very good reasons

asian values are not just about crony capitalism that usa learned so well, and in turn taught

asian inventions are not just about paper money that usa almost perfected as its 'secret weapon'
