Oh i learned a great deal , well...as much as one can when trying to think of beginnings of the early Universe & going back that far of Creation...its difficult to get one's mind around a trip to Mars in todays real time , let alone quantum physics . There's really deeper & clear explanations that some have come even closer to explaining , understanding why there are poliarized groups , sets off beliefs, liberals vs conservs , believers vs skeptics and all the percieved differences between people & individuals . Try to look at it as God would , then you'll smile at it all more ....
But not all Evolutionists are atheists , nor are all unbelievers which so often becomes the simple logic that creates , divides & forces people into pitched defensive corners . There plenty of believers in that mystical divine supernatural that have their focus , creativity & moral/ethics advanced and some just as positive that are agnostic as well.
* Don't bother listening to that old physicist Stenger he was really ill prepared and didn't put much effort into his talk , but this video of Michael Shermer's will be a good intro into the psychology of perception (non biased either for or against believers) and guarantee to have you really laughing in th end . (guaranteed !) ted.com
Michael Shermer says the human tendency to believe strange things -- from alien abductions to dowsing rods -- boils down to two of the brain's most basic, hard-wired survival skills. He explains what they are, and how they get us into trouble. |
