What no one can deny is that the people who knew Jesus the best, including his disciples and his family, became believers in his resurrection soon after his death. Furthermore, they were so sure of this they were willing to sacrifice their lives for telling the story to everyone they could."

The problem is the story got bigger in the telling and incorporated lots of other stories to make it even bigger and less accurate. The story was controlled by the Romans and used to condone everything from the Crusades to Cortez. What we know of the life and death of Jesus is mostly a fabrication.
