Credibility of governments is hopeless but I think that China's government might be more honest than that of the USA because they don't have to lie to maintain power. China's government hides information, but mentally scanning for dishonesty, I get a bit of a blank. The USA and most 'free world' governments are elected so politicians have to be adept at saying things in particular ways which are not necessarily representative of reality.. "How do you tell when a politician is lying?" "When their lips are moving". If they are honest, they will be unelected quick smart.
But the public operates in a different way. In the USA, the public opens their mouths and says anything they like [give or take a few things such as threats, divulging official secrets, saying mean things about Moslems or the melanin rich, Christians and melanin deficient are fair game]. In China, the public better keep their mouths shut or speak like TJ in genuflecting admiring language about officialdom.
But still, you are adopting the grey ooze theory of humans - all are the same blah blah blah. No they are not. Some nation states are vastly more dishonest and evil than others. It's not just a matter of how well they use propaganda techniques. <all nation states, good and bad, use propaganda, which is a form of deception. >
It amazes me that people seriously adopt the grey ooze theory about people. It's very fashionable, so the belief is probably even greater than belief in CO2 from people as doom.
