I've not invested yet for company speculative appeal based on intellectual property. I think it's a trend on the increase and should be given speculative appeal weight. It used to be you had companies interested in intellectual property as well as unused tax loss carry-forwards in distressed companies or ones in bankruptcy court. I believe they changed the tax laws changed many years ago to prevent takeovers used to buy unused tax loss carry-forwards. Last week I received some defensive material by Kodak. So they must feel they need to protect themselves.
