In my area, we experienced pretty steady 30-40mph winds with gusts up to 70 every 5 minutes or so. I was impressed by how much the big trees could bend without breaking. Heard quite a few loud pops in the woods near my house indicating a tree about to fall over, but didn't see one directly fall. It rained maybe an inch or two, no where near the level they were predicting.

I was concerned, mainly because of the size of the trees around my house. We all slept in the basement in case one of those monsters decided to uproot and land on the house. If you've cut down big trees like I have, you have a good sense of their power when they fall. A house would not stop a big tree - probably go right through the top floor.

Thank goodness everything went fine.
