I'm about as irreligious as it gets (so I'd fit into your neighborhood well), but I would like to see Roe v Wade overturned and give the issue back to the States. I am anti-abortion in most (but not all) cases, and anti-Gay marriage, (although I do support civil unions), so for me, abortion and Gay marriage is not at all about religion.

I couldn't care less about what motivates a person to fight for fewer abortions or against Gay marriage, and feeling like I do, if Perry or Bachman want to do what they can to reduce abortion and prevent Gay marriage, I'm all for it.

And btw, I've never labeled pro-abortion or pro-Gay marriage advocates because I think stereotyping and labeling are unfair, and conversation killers.

I know the best liberal talking point is to blame religion for anti-abortion and anti-Gay marriage sentiment, but for hundreds of thousands (if not millions) of individuals, that is a false argument imo.
