Perry tried that in Texas and got smacked up side the head by the citizenry.

He picked himself up, dusted himself off, apologized and that was that.

(One of his two big goof-ups in the last 10 years - the other being the Trans-Texas corridor).

And that's why I like him as governor - he's made few big mistakes and learned from the ones he made.
