I watched Ezra Klein discussing Obama's new economics adviser Krueger. IMO, Ezra Kilne is a stonecold genius, so I listen to him carefully. What he said was interesting.
He said the guy was a genius at the technical level, no one better, but he was not a "big thinker" (like say Krugman and Stigitz), and he comes once again, from inside the inner circle. Geithner's golfing buddy.
Klein, IMO, is one of the few who has the brains to find the weak points in even the geniuses. He didn't seem to like the appointment.
I felt, he felt, this was just more of the same Axelrod, Gibbs, Rahm, Summers, Geithner, Sperling and Daley trip. |
