Of course. That is SOP. While the Left does a far better job of it against Republican women, it uses these tactics against conservative men, as well.

It was successful with Bush. We now know that Bush was one of the most thoughtful presidents in recent history (even if sometimes wrong), yet, everyone from the news anchors to David Letterman made him out to be a total buffoon. He was an easy target, since he was a lousy public speaker.

I don't know if it will work this time. We tried the Harvard "intellectual" (at least, by media accounts -- it seems there is some doubt about just how intellectual he is), and found him to be an incompetent stuffed shirt. I think people are starting to recognize that the ability to read a teleprompter just isn't sufficient to allow one to become a president.
