Bob;

Pretty good list - I'm surprised.

I agree with 3 of your 5 points, disagree partially with one and so only disagree entirely on one other.

The one I disagree with is end the war on business. There is no war on business as business - particularly in the name of the Military Industrial Complex - has been given so many corporate welfare benis as to make our country a socialism for business. Bailing out the banks was a HUGE transfer of wealth from the tax payer to those who recklessly rode us over the economic cliff. We still are bailing them out - although more seductively - by stimulating the economy so all their many over extended stupid loans don't go into default.

The one I partially agree with is on revenue. Close loopholes for sure including for middle wage earners (housing deduction for instance). But there are targeted taxes that should be increased. If Buffett thinks his salary should be taxed at more - do it! Should investment gamblers making their money on Wall Street be taqxed at a lower percent than policeman or teachers? Geez, should be a no brainer and yet those so stuck to the ideology that no tax can be raised they continue to tax for less than any working man. That is NOT right.......Look for other places to find taxes. To use the god of the extreme rights example - Perry - even he was able to raise taxes. Okay it was on strip clubs and seems like a harsh thing to do to those working women - but the idea is that some taxes can be raised.
