We need to somehow get the real entire cost of energy into the product being made or used. Today the government - our government - subsidizes the cost of oil.


Now I am going to surprise you - I totally agree with that. However, that would be just a start. We need to have all products and services reflect their true cost - including wind power, solar power and pure imagination power. Another for instance - home mortgages. The Fannie and Freddie fiasco was all about people avoiding the true costs of home ownership - especially in accurately risk priced mortgages.

I am a big believer in Yankee come home. Supposedly the magic Obama was too. So what did he do - off to a surge in Afghanistan - just before he leaves - and off to war in Libya.

Government as we know it is all about picking winners and losers. If you are a friend of power you win. If you are not - you lose. The "change you can believe in" was a pure lie. The real change is "change we need". I doubt any person running for president has the stones to tell the populace the truth of what the "change we need" is. That kind of government as we know it would not be a bad thing to end.

The number 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 at least issues facing our nation is the economy/deficit. Barack, Harry and Nancy came to power when the bank was broke - and yes at least Barack did not break it (can't say that about Nancy and Harry) - they were/are the wrong people for the current time. One can rant and rave about why we got here - but the fact is it is almost 2012 - and what counts is now.

What we have is a complainer in chief - and any kind of national leader.
