Weekly Natural Gas Storage Estimate
Injection for Week Ended 8/26/11: 54-64 Bcf
30 August 2011 ¦ 5 pages
citigroupgeo.com

Injection Estimate — We estimate that the Energy Information Administration (EIA)
will report a 54-64 Bcf injection into U.S. underground natural gas storage levels for the
week ended 8/26/2011, compared with a 54 Bcf injection last year, a 65 Bcf injection in
2009, and a 73 Bcf injection in the prior week.

Weather Last Week — Weather last week, based on customer-weighted gas cooling
degree days (CDD's), was 6% warmer than last year, 11% warmer than the 10-year
average, and 8% warmer than the prior week this year.

Storage Levels — Thus, we believe natural gas storage levels should increase to
2,965 Bcf, resulting in a 133 Bcf deficit vs. last year and a 56 Bcf deficit vs. the five-
year average.

Weather This Week — Temperatures this week are expected to be above to much
above average in much of the central U.S., with average temperatures expected on
both the East and the West Coast
