Without openness and a genuine desire to extend an attitude of understanding and goodwill and to other human beings and to give them the benefit of doubt there is no hope for conflict resolution. What kind of corrupt thinking does it take for a man to use the term 'honor' when slitting the throat of his beloved and innocent daughter who was raped? It isn't hard to figure. He is thinking others will see him as the most pious practitioner of his religion, and the most worthy of praise. Obviously he is too sick to see that others view him as a crazed lunatic. That is easy to understand. How easy is it to then promote such a sick act as representative, to cast aspersions on the innocent billions of Muslims who you know are not represented by such evil act, ... and to what end?

Innocent billions? I wish. I believe there are less than 1.6 billion Muslims worldwide. So just how many do you characterize as innocent? Honor killings are more prevalent than most think. Hundreds per year are suspected in Britain alone. Of course the perpetrators are not innocent. But what about those that support such acts?.....what about those that tolerate such acts? Are they among your innocents? What % of Islam do they represent? I would argue hundreds of millions. What about the majority that abhor such acts but remain silent......with no condemnation of their own religion........and with no attempt to modify it. . How long do they get to keep their innocence? Regrettably, from my point of view, the number of TRULY innocent Muslims is in the distinct minority.
