As for the Chechens, this was always a difficult spot,
and genocide was practiced by the tsars. Wiki has the history.
I can't say I approve the approach, but, you know, Russia
was ruled by dictators most of the time, so ... their
government is not exactly democratic.

Stalin was not a Russian, a Georgian, so was Beria.
They are right to be pissed, but there are consequences
for blowing up buildings and subway trains in Moscow.
