Jorj, you shouldn't want to compare war stories with most of the people I went to high school with but that's beside the point. It's not what we experienced ourselves that determines how much empathy and understanding of the plight of others that we have, it's what we took from that.

Yes, you had a good job and a nice car that were each damaged by a union campaign and you have a couple of stepsisters that are probably a trial, but most of the people I'm talking about didn't trash your car and aren't screwing up your family. They're just trying to make a better life for themselves and their kids and lately it seems that every year it's gotten a little tougher, even for those who are wholeheartedly doing everything they can.
