To all, I need to buy a fairly powerful laptop that will allow me to do "live" data analysis for groups of K-12 educators. I will be using Excel and SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) on large data sets, e.g., >12,000x200 data matricies. Can anyone recommend a high quality or "best buy" portable? I have a pretty good idea of what I want to do to upgrade by 6x86-p120 desktop (Shuttle Hot-603, 6x86Mx-200, etc), but I'm clueless when it comes to laptops. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
