Jorj, here's a novel idea, if you "really don't care what my background is", don't expressly ask me what my background is.

Second, your assertion that :"To be clear, I was only asking this as you were clearly trying to guess my background and dismiss my views because of some perceived advantage that you thought I had." is off the mark.

I wrote what I wrote because it seemed to me that you were ignoring the fact that for many low level employees with unskilled or semi-skilled jobs, the fear of getting fired or losing their job is enough to keep them working for whatever an employer is willing to pay and the "keep them happy and they'll stay and work hard" concept does not guarantee good employer actions. Ed
