I think the MMI acquisition by Google is a sign of desperation for Google. They are getting a lot of patents but it isn’t clear that they will be that useful. Worse, Google is now in the hardware business. I think they will sell that off within a year. I think Google worried Motorola would sue HTC and Samsung and shut down the entire Android market.
