'Since leaving LA, I have learned its one of the most naturally segregated cities in the country. Racial issues are still very much alive in this country..........and I believe have become intensified with the Obama presidency.' LA was destined to be much like Dallas if Hollywood did not step in? As it is Dallas is now becoming more like LA due to the huge influx of Asians and transplants from CA and the big cities of the midwest and NE? I do think segregation since Reaganomics took wealth disparity parabolic the past 30 years has made it worst in most large cities even though they are blue. Miami is about the most segregated city I have ever seen even though most there are black, hispanic and jewish with divisions by language, culture, religion and income most apparent. Yes even though the presence of Obama might have helped many in minority dominated countries see the US in a different more positive light versus the Bush years unfortunately it has made it worse here in the states..
