I was just reading the info about the California mayor who was shot.

Went to next message and saw this about the so-called tea party.

According to the blogger----

"The tea party cohort is overwhelmingly white, male and older — on that, the stereotype is on the mark — but it “had a low regard for immigrants and blacks long before Barack Obama was president,” Campbell and Putnam report."

In reference to that blogger's remarks----mj

I dispute that claim---------------there are many immigrants who have become citizens of the USA who are dismayed at the direction this country has taken under Obama.

They came here seeking freedom from oppression in their nations of birth and are seeing the beautiful America they embraced being torn apart under Obama's leading America down the path of the socialism and communism they came here to escape.

Just yesterday, I had an unexpected call from a new citizen who expressed his dismay at the direction the country has taken under Obama as well as Obama's lack of diplomatic expertise. As with many Americans who are 50 and older he mourns for the America he wanted to be a part of but is standing against those who would further destroy America. He is making a stand for his children and future grandchildren.

Aside from a call of friendship, he wanted me to be actively involved in the 2012 elections to save the nation.

I was touched by this new citizen calling and felt a sense of achievement. Yes there are legal immigrants involved in the Tea Party movement-------certainly a time honored way to protest taxation and the wrong direction this nation has taken under Mr. Obama.
