The interplay of the dynamics of race and economics tend to be complex and result in uneven results regarding home ownership and integration.

Pretty good discussion of some of the forces at play in Portland and some not too encouraging results for certain groups.

That was the same problem in LA. The reality is South Central LA and Watts are no longer black ghettoes....Latinos are moving in and forcing the blacks out. Latinos are taking jobs normally blacks would take. You can't imagine the hatred blacks have for Latinos.

My belief.......and its not a popular one..............the level of damage done to the black psyche from slavery and then decades of discrimination runs much deeper than we think and that they as a race will take longer to heal.
