In the meantime we have to live with the fact that so many middle and low income people are foolish enough to believe that reducing income taxes of the super wealthy, eliminating death taxes on huge estates, cutting benefits for average Americans, getting rid of unions, trying to balance budgets by cutting the wages and benefits of working men and women in the public sector, and reducing wages will somehow help them.

The only person who can make that fight public enough to win it is Obama. I'd rather see him fight that fight and lose than have him go along the way he has and win. If he fought and lost at least he'd begin the process of eroding the fictions that have held us hostage to a false reality for decades.

But you have to wonder, is there anyone out there with the status and the courage to fight that battle cause it looks like Obama doesn't have the stomach for it. Ed

Ed, Let me submit that your leftist side is showing in the above. The key to our problem solution also includes telling the truth that if your side did all of the above the problem would not be solved. Therein lies the rub - as embodied by the Utube link I showed of Obama and his pernicious 2% lie.

Somehow making people pay the statuatory rate seems fair to me - meaning closing all of the loop holes and tax expenditures that enable guys like Buffett to walk on taxes - all the while complaining he does not pay enough (meantime he gives his estate away to avoid the waste of the estate tax - hilarious hypocrite). Once the loop holes et al are closed it seems to me that any effective tax rate above 50% is simply unAmerican.

Totally lost in the leftist approach is the recognition that to take more from the golden goose one should nourish the golden goose. In this aspect of governance Obama is a COMPLETE idiot. For whatever reason he seems to feel he has to feed red meat rhetoric to the extremist members of his base - I guess to keep them in line.

The latest example is the suit against the banks. This is classic. At a time one hand of the Obama team (pick a descriptive adjective) we have cryies for the banks to lend. At the same time we have the other hand of the Obama team suing them for an amount that would destroy their balance sheets. Do you or any of your friends out there think this makes sense?

It goes on. We could look at the BP spill. The spill happened. The rest of the world studied and kept on drilling. Our dear leader simply shutdown the industry for an extended period. Boy I bet that made him feel macho.

Do you see it? The guy on one hand destroys and then blames others for the problems.

I have tried to refrain from using adjectives like fools and idiots - but it was hard. The left hand fighting the right hand nature of this administration is ruining us. He did not create the problems - but one can certainly argue he has made them worse - as it is clear he has not solved them.

In the most simplest terms - think of the golden goose laying the golden eggs and you want more - how do you get more golden eggs? I submit Obama has absolutely no concept of how - as he never did anything - anything - in his pre presidential life to do such.

Obama is the wrong man for the wrong time.

Bob
