Kenneth, Paul, Great response on health care. Of course, Republicans could just refuse to fund it but it would still survive.


Do you honestly think that the House Republicans would cut off all those covered with healthcare - you talk about turning voters against Republicans and seal the Democrat's getting back into office. Once someone has received some benefit it is next to impossible to take it away from them. Plus, a large portion of the States are establishing their own exchange programs as provided by the law. Just think of the corporations who are paying the penalty with their employees enrolled and having healthcare through the exchange and then being undercut. The regulations are either already or will be in place by the time a new president assumes the Presidency.


Bush's wars in Iraq, Afgan, for general purposes will have come to conclusion as promised. Hopefully, in 14 months the market and jobs will be on the up turn for those who are qualified and actively searching for work. However, many may have seen their skill sets reduced, or may have to settle for lower paying occupations.


How many of us on this site know of someone currently out of work or perhaps even living in homeless centers or obtaining food and supplies through community centers. It is sad. With the financial crisis regardless of who was President I can not see any President would have made a difference. If you would have please educate me as who, and what programs would they have implemented to make the difference.
