Sure I'm promoting a particular side of a scientific argument and so are you.

But I don't challenge what I call the alarmist side solely on the basis of scientific issues, but on how the two sides address the issue. I see one side conspiring to rig the scientific process, denying access to data, making unexplained and unannounced adjustments to historical temperature records. You don't have to have any kind of scientific background to know these things are wrong. And the side that's doing this is also trying to sell an expensive political programme. This ought to put people's antennas up and create distrust.
