Absolutely, our government will fail anyways when/if it gets to the point where it can no longer afford to feed an unproductive population (a la Russia), but if the government stops feeding people before that point we fail sooner.

So we are between a rock and hard place and it will take some creative solution, not related to cutting a large segment of the population (1 in 8 and growing) off from the food supply, to work our way out of the problem (if it is even possible).

As for my solution, I offer none as it is pointless...rather just watching histroy unfold/repeat and trying no to get run over too badly by it.
