Back from COMDEX
Caught the red eye (literally, I'm afraid) this morning.
Thanks to Howard, I do not have to write a full report of Monday's 4:00 P.M. briefing. I'll just add a couple of comments.

When it came to the Q&A portion of the 4:00 pm briefing, some bozo asked Sim, in referring to the SOUNDBLASTER LIVE!, whether Sim could seriously expect people to run out and purchase seven (7) speakers to complete this system. I already thought about this myself, but believed that Sim knew what he was doing. And you could sense as Sim began his response that he was fully prepared for such a question. He basically told this non-believer that yes, he fully expects people to want and to purchase the seven speakers. And, he alluded to selling them in a kit for what he called a "mass market price". While grinning from ear to ear, he reminded everyone in the room of his recent DVD pricing scheme and said that we should expect no less with SOund Blaster LIVE!
I have not heard from anyone in Las Vegas since I have been back, so I do not know if anythingelse was revealed at today's briefing.
